I really don’t have much to write, because I fear that words will fail me in this post! Scotland has been just treating us with such lovely weather! Despite the volcano which erupted in Iceland, and threw bits of ash and smoke up into the atmosphere, we in St. Andrews enjoyed the most glorious day ever on Friday.
Thankfully, I had no lectures or tutorials. When I realized that being cooped up in my room wasn’t an option, I grabbed my Wellies and hit the beach. For nearly two hours, taking my time, I walked along the shoreline, to the end of West Sands and back again. Words couldn’t describe the sun glinting off the water, the gentle breeze, or the splash of waves against the beach. My face is happily tanned (in Scotland, can you believe it!?) and I am perfectly happy. What a change the weather makes!
In the afternoon, my friends and I stood in a 15 minute queue for gelato and hit the beach again. I couldn’t seem to keep my feet out of the water! Some errands, some work, then more friends in the evening. Glorious, glorious, glorious day!
